I've been busy lately and I just wanted to get everything sorted before I write the weekly update. I'm sure many would have known about the recent panic buying around the world regarding toilet paper and long-life foods. It's a bit ridiculous to see this happening, and even to the extend of fighting people over it. Ridiculous. In dire times will we see the true face of people. It's sad to observe the devastating impact COVID-19 has on the economy and essentially every sector is affected badly. There are some sectors that are benefiting from this. Delivery services, medical services are some of the sectors which are doing well in "chaotic" situations like these. Perhaps not so in my country, but definitely more prevalent in China and other highly affected countries like South Korea and Japan. It just shows how social media is a double-edged blade, and how misinformation can be detrimental to a functional society who should be thinking with lucidity and dealing with matters pragmatically.
But then again, there are always idiots who are inconsiderate and just care about themselves. A recent personal experience involved a fellow student coming into a practical, coughing loudly without closing their mouths. Not only that, but the individual kept using a tissue that was clearly dirty (all yellow). This is why viruses can spread so easily. Some people are either plain stupid or they are purposely being ignorant and inconsiderate. Anyway, enough about my rant. Hope you guys stay healthy and take care of your personal hygiene. Best thing to do is wash your hands with soap (like you should always do) and avoid touching your face, nose or mouth.
