Anime Review - Sakamoto desu ga? - A Modern Comedy that made me Kek

Everyone enjoys a laugh once in a while, and an anime with pure comedy is rare nowadays, a good one is even so. Sakamoto desu ga? stars a fabulous student Sakamoto, whose actions are "cool, cooler, coolest". This anime recounts Sakamoto's school life - bullies, lovers, everything in the package.

Story (8/10):
In pure comedy anime, there is usually no plot progression. However, in this case, there is some plot progression since it is a school life comedy. Even though one can say that each episode doesn't directly connect to each other, I can say that each episode has an influence on the outcome of another episode. I really liked how Sakamoto resolves situations in a majestic way. The stories of each episode are so different, yet each episode brings a different situation that makes you laugh your head off.
One part of the story really made me kek hard because it was so realistic. This scene was when Sakamoto saves Kubota from two bullies, he uses a straw to blow cool air into one of the bullies' ear. That made me kek so hard because that action is as "deadly" in the anime as in real life. Topkek quality.

However, that ending was a bit confusing. Why did he have to leave if he was lying about going to America for a Mars Exploration Program? Even though I know a comedy didn't need a heavy emphasize on plot, this really bugged me.

Characters (8/10):
Sakamoto is one majestic badass because he has all the good traits of a "gentleman". Sakamoto is well-built, smart, brave, majestic, and the list goes on. It's understandable why the girls fall heads over heels for him, and even male students admire/aspire to be like him (KappaPride). If Sakamoto was a real life person, I would have so much fun being friends with him.

Since it's a comedy, you can't take everything seriously so it's really nice to see the "bullies" of the school eventually save Sakamoto from the El'Chapo of Bullies. It was really nice to see the one of the OG Bullies of Three (who we meet in first episode) become regretful of trying to harm Sakamoto, and eventually everyone, even the angry teacher and bullies, respect him.

Sound (9/10):
The OP really exemplifies what Sakamoto is - COOL, COOLER, COOLEST. The ED wasn't as catchy as the OP, but it was somewhat enjoyable to listen to.

What made the anime so good was its use of Sakamoto's theme song. Whenever he does something cool or majestic, his theme song suddenly starts. It's as if this man is a gift from God. The theme song makes the scene so much cooler and funnier, because when the theme song starts, you know shit's getting real.

Art (8/10):
The art is well done and it's not ugly to watch. I like how the anime has "caption cards" for his special xmoves, but other than that, I don't really have that much to comment about it.

Enjoyment (10/10):
I enjoyed every single minute of this anime because it made me laugh so hard. Every episode was refreshing and unique. I still can remember Sakamoto's theme song running, so that's how impactful that theme song is. It makes the scenes so much better and funnier.

Overall (8/10 or 9/10):
Sakamoto is an enjoyable comedy to watch, especially nowadays. Comedic gems like these are hard to find nowadays. Sakamoto's theme song is definitely a tool used to amplify the comedic elements in the scenes. With Sakamoto's prowess in being majestic, I can see why everyone in the school admires him. If you like watching comedies like Daily Lives of High School Boys, and Nichijou, I definitely recommend this anime.
